2021 Devoncroft Executive Summit: Impact of Global Supply Chain Disruptions on Media Technology Suppliers

Joe Zaller | November 1, 2021

The November 2021 Devoncroft Executive Summit starts tomorrow.

We’ve put together a compelling agenda and a fantastic speaker line up, to debate, discuss, and share best practice for building the future of media technology organizations.

Our speaker line-up includes those shown here:

We’ll also be featuring a variety of other voices at the event, including the executive leadership of major media technology suppliers

One critical topic for nearly everyone in the media technology ecosystem today is how are global supply chain disruptions affecting media technology suppliers?

Ahead of the event, we spoke with C-Level executives from major media technology suppliers about how global supply chain disruptions are affecting their businesses.

Watch the video below to hear directly from the horse’s mouth how these companies are weathering the supply chain disruption.

It turns out media technology suppliers are not immune disruptions to global supply chains, and have experienced shortages of everything from semiconductors, to self-tapping screws, to cardboard shipping containers.

Many suppliers saw this coming and made provisions to stockpile key components.  Of course, not everyone has the liquidity to do this and even those that have did eventually run out of certain crucial components.

Suppliers predict things may get worse before they get better, with several companies citing up to an additional 18 months of supply chain-related disruptions to their operations.

At the same time, prices for hard-to-find components are rising (sometimes astronomically), and it has become very difficult to source new components for yet-to-be-released next-generation products, potentially pushing out lead times and product launches.

Special thanks to our sponsors for making the November 2021 Devoncroft Executive Summit a reality.
