EVS Managing Director & CEO Departs Company

Live production specialist EVS announced that the company’s Board of Directors and Managing Director Muriel De Lathouwer mutually agreed to end De Lathouwer’s term of the office and duties, of Managing Director and CEO, effective July 10, 2018.

EVS Chairman Pierre De Muelenaere will succeed De Lathouwer in an internim basis until a new CEO is appointed.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Muriel for the work that has been accomplished over the last 4 years with the Executive Committee and the Board,” said De Muelenaere. “A new vision and strategy have been defined, positioning EVS at the core of the live ecosystem, with an extension of the product range and a focus on innovation. A more agile organizational structure was put in place, allowing a better cost control. The challenges faced by all players in our industry are pushing us to constantly evolve. The Board of Directors will encourage the continuation of this strategy, while strengthening the leadership role of the management team within the organization.”

De Lathouwer became a member of the EVS Board of Directors in November 2013, and chaired its Strategic Committee. She was named ECS CEO in February 2015, after serving as interim president of the Executive Committee of EVS on an interim basis after the October 2014 departure of previous CEO, Joop Janssen.

For the full year 2017, EVS reported revenues if EUR 118.8 million, down 9.2% compared to the previous year. Excluding big event rentals and at constant currency, full year 2017 revenues were declined 1.3%.  During the first quarter of 2018, EVS posted revenues of EUR 22.8 million, -6.9% compared to 1Q17 (-20.0% excl. event rentals and at constant currency).
